Biography

Mr. Church is a Special Lecturer in the Economics Department at Boise State University and a member of the Western Blue Chip Forecast Panel.

Mr. Church is also an independent economic consultant. Prior to starting his own consulting practice in August, 1997, he was the Corporate Economist and a member of the Strategic Planning Department of Idaho Power Company. He has received degrees from the University of Washington, Boise State University, and the University of Idaho.

John Church's annual economic and demographic forecasts of state of Idaho and each of the state's counties are utilized by many agencies, firms, and organizations throughout Idaho as well as others in the U.S. with interests in Idaho.

Mr. Church is regularly quoted by the print and broadcast media in Idaho on economic issues of concern to the state and the region.  He is also a regular columnist to The Idaho Statesman newspaper providing quarterly reviews of the Idaho economy.
